Christ Church Anerley Part 2

Ongoing work to clear and plant the Church garden beds.

Last Saturday it was time to tackle the overgrown bed by the entrance. I stripped out most of the periwinkle and dead stuff, pruned ivy, dug over and composted the bed, and attempted to straighten the border between the paving and the bed (a work in progress). Planting from left to right is: a variegated Holly, small Pieris, Choisiya, another Pieris and a Mahonia. This weekend a Cotinus ‘Grace’ will be added, plus probably a Ceanothus, and maybe a Berberis, depending on what’s available, and some lily bulbs planted for summer colour. Have tools, will travel!
