Settling in: Mediterranean, Shade and Woodland Garden
Maintenance visit to see how condition specific planting is establishing.
Quick visit to check up on and maintain planting scheme from a month ago. This was planted in and survived a heatwave, then extreme wet and windy conditions.
The fence on the shadier side has been replaced, and ivy ripped out, which sets off the planting really well. The fencers took care not to damage any of the plants, which are now thriving
, especially the H. quercifolias which are now flowering. The Arbutus on the sunny side has obviously suffered from the dry heat but appears to be picking up again, and the Echinops are just coming into bloom. Very pleased with how all the planting looks – hopefully providing a coherent, varied, interesting and condition appropriate display.
